The sudden death of a woman at Jarvis Bay on Canada Day was not suspicious, says RCMP.

Sylvan Lake RCMP were called about 10 a.m. on July 1 with a report of the sudden death of a 35-year-old woman. After police arrived, the body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner where an autopsy was conducted on July 2.

"Due to the complex nature of the investigation, the Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit was called in to assist the Sylvan Lake RCMP," said police in a Friday news release.

"The investigation included an extensive search of the property, obtaining witness statements, reviewing video surveillance, and working in conjunction with the Medical Examiner Office. As a result of the investigation, RCMP have concluded that the death was not suspicious in nature."

Since the death is not suspicious, police are not revealing any more information.
